Why'd the chicken cross the road?
BILL GATES
The eChicken2003 will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your chick book - and Internet Eggsplorer is an integral part of eChicken2003.
ALBERT EINSTEIN
Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?
SIGMUND FREUD
The fact that you are at all concerned that the chicken crossed the road reveals your underlying sexual insecurity.
BILL CLINTON
What is your definition of chicken?
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR
I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross roads without having their motives called into question.
THE BIBLE
And God came down from heaven, and he said unto the chicken THOU SHALT CROSS THE ROAD. And the chicken didst cross the road, and there was rejoicing.
COLONEL SANDERS

This guy is quite amazing. He has cerebral palsy, but he learned how to create art, using a typewriter! This is old school ASCII art, way old school.
Check him out, quite an inspirational story - Paul Smith.
---------------
And while we're on the topic of ASCII art, also check out this guy's ASCII movies - quite fun.
(For best results, and to see the whole picture on the "movie clip" style pieces, change your text size to "smallest". It's under "View - Text Size" in IE. Some of the pages are fairly large, so they will take a while to load. You might want to just right-click and download the pages instead. The html document will run just fine if you save it.)

Revisit the 80's
Oh these bring back memories. Wow, a lot of these shows were really horrible, and yet we loved them. Wonderful, embarassing memories. And the hair styles! You gotta love 'em. Anyway, check this out - TV show intros from the eighties.
Well, most are from the eighties, though a few are older (Star Trek, Buck Rodgers, Addams Family, etc.) They're pretty much all here, everything from "The 'A' Team" to "Who's the Boss", with "Saved by the Bell" and "Miami Vice" in between. Check out Johnny Depp in "21st Jump Street" - he's grown up a bit since then. Eighty-seven shows in all, though there were several I didn't recognize.

For all you really geeky tech people out there, this should be quite interesting. I particularly like the OC project (optical camoflage). Check this and other projects out at this Japanese research company's page.

Oh, and one more thing for the geeks. Cisco just unveiled its new router. Going for about $450,000, it will be able to handle 92Tbps !!! For those of you who don't know what that means - (1 tera = 1000 gigas, 1 giga = 1000 megas) - let's just say it's fast, really fast. Like, a breakfast conversation that goes "let's zip on over to Mars (the planet) to catch some lunch, and then run back to earth for the afternoon movie special on channel two" fast. Yeah, that fast.
Check out Cisco's new CRS-1 - the world's fastest router.

Must See to Believe!
OH MY GOODNESS! I thought this video was totally fake, but it's NOT! There really ARE such things as GIANT HORNETS! AND, 30 of them REALLY CAN take on 30,000 bees. You really need to see the video to believe it. The link above should be downloadable (though it is almost 19 megs), but you can also try streaming the video by putting
"http://www.olympus.co.jp/en/magazine/pursuit/200301/movie/m01_hi.asx"
into the "Open Url" box under the "File" button on your Windows Media Player. Whatever you need to do, do it.
For more pics and info, check here. And for those of you who don't feel like doing the conversion, that 5.5cm of the queen is well over 2 inches long. This page also talks about the one way bees can fight back - by cooking the wasps.
------------------------------------------------------
Finally, somewhere in the world other than South America has some scary critters (such as my friend the Candiru. Read more about him here and here. And yes folks, it's all true. Read about him if you dare. I do caution you though, some of the pictures are rather graphic. Guys will not be able to read without crossing their legs and squirming.)
